Mom and Daughter Duo are All-Star Wendy Walk Volunteers
Wendy Walk thrives because of our dedicated volunteers. Many of our volunteers have been connected to the cause since the beginning. We wanted to tell you about Carrie and Lauren Pollare a mother/daughter team from Pacific Palisades who have helped to manage and expand Wendy Walk since it started. When Wendy Landes and her family moved to Pacific Palisades in 1994 Carrie Pollare welcomed Wendy into the community, and Lauren Pollare (Carrie’s 8 year old daughter) became best friends with Wendy’s daughter Ali. A Tribute to Lucy Zaiontz who died after her battle with Liposarcoma, 1952 –2015
A tribute to my mother by Adina Zaiontz.  My Mom, Lucy Zaiontz, passed away at the age of 62 after a difficult battle with Liposarcoma cancer.  My mom spent her life trying to lift us up to a better one. Her example and hard work still helps and inspires us now and will continue always. 500 Joined us in Miami Beach Raising Money for Sarcoma Research
On Sunday April 17, 2016,  500 people walked around Palm and Hibiscus Islands in order to raise funds and awareness for Sarcoma, a very rare form of cancer. The crowd gathered at Palm Island Park to register, hear speeches, and sample delicious food and juice. Miami Beach Commissioners Grecco, Malakoff & Steinberg kicked off the day with a proclamation from the City of Miami Beach proclaiming April 17, 2016 Wendy Walk Day.
