Our Partners

Alliance for Cancer Gene TherapyFounded by Edward and Barbara Netter, ACGT is committed to building alliances between philanthropic individuals and organizations, and medical and academic institutions, to promote gene therapy research to combat cancer. To this end, ACGT will identify, fund and monitor innovative research that meets a rigorous set of scientific standards, and has the potential, in the foreseeable future, to treat cancers of all types. Through this endeavor, ACGT will educate the public about the potential for cancer gene therapy and facilitate greater collaborations among the scientific community to foster the best possible research and ultimately the best treatment. Uniquely, 100% of all donations goes directly to fund research. Read more about our partnership and the The Wendy Walk ACGT Sarcoma Grant awarded in 2016.

banner-horizontalFounder and chairman, Alan B. Slifka, established this foundation in 1965 to support his passions for “a world safe for difference,” Judaism and Israel. In time, his interests expanded to include biomedical research and treatments for sarcoma and other cancers, and autism spectrum disorders. Today, the Alan B. Slifka Foundation board and staff continue to be guided by his passion and generosity. We seek to honor and expand his vision through thoughtful and informed philanthropic strategies.  Learn more about their Sarcoma Research in partnership with Wendy Walk.
