Walking with Strength, Courage and Hope for the Cure to Rare Sarcoma Cancers

Wendy Walk 2017: An Overview

More than 1,000 individuals – including patients and survivors – gathered in Miami, New York, and Los Angeles to raise awareness of sarcoma and funds to support research to find a cure for this rare, aggressive form of cancer that impacted the life of Wendy Landes. The Wendy Walk Foundation has raised over $3.65 million to date.

From coast to coast, togetherness was a prevalent theme at each of this year’s Wendy Walks. Whether led by a survivor or walking in memory of a loved one, teams showed up in droves.

Keynote speakers included Dr. Jonathan Trent of the Sylvester Cancer Center in Miami, Dr. David Geller of Montefiore Medical Center in New York, and Dr. Arun Singh of UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles. These top medical specialists addressed current advances and challenges in sarcoma research. Proceeds from the Wendy Walk go directly toward funding medical research of sarcoma.

We are constantly in awe of our incredible supporters. You are the reason we are able to spread the word about Wendy Walk to ensure that no one with this rare disease has to feel alone. We are in a race against time and are determined that, with your continued support, we will find a cure for sarcoma.
